FBU is North America's best camp. Why you ask? Well, firstly, it is coached by the best coaches money can buy, NFL legends like John Fontes, Glen Smith, Jim McNally, Bo Orlando, Chris Johnson, Don Anderson, and more. These coaches are on the field, coaching players, not supervising, there will be no Graduatye Assistant coaching here.
Each camper gets 18 hrs of coaching by an NFL legend. Obviously the on field work is second to none, but it's the class setting or "chalk talk" that separates FBU from the rest. Each day will consist of on field drills and evaluation, as well as off field education about positional play, offensive/defensive theory, etc. The player will walk away with the knowledge and experience that will help him achieve his goals later in life. Key speakers will discuss topics like training and nutrition, as well as goal setting and self-motivation, things that GrassRoots believes are the first steps in having a successful career, on and off the field.
At the end of the camp, players will discuss, one on one with their positional coaches, their strengths and weaknesses. It will provide information on how to overcome physical and mental weaknesses and prevail. Campers will also be sent a DVD video highlighting their camp experience as well as breaking down their performance, revealing the obstacles they must hurdle in order to play at the next level.
On top of all this, they will be outfitted with FBU gear and be fed lunch for the three days. Is it expensive? Yes, Is it a must do, no. Will it benefit the player, no doubt. If you have the money, it is money well spent. If not, use the money you have to attend NCAA camps. DO NOT waste your money on Canadian camps. Get coached and get exposure in the US. GRP will be providing bus trips to a NCAA camp in June, it will be cheaper than FBU, however, it is a different environment, and you won't receive the one on one coaching you get with the FBU camp. BUT, it is a close second. Please feel free to contact GRP with any questions you may have.

Hey members! I would just like to say a few things regarding FBU and GrassRoots Prospects. Grass Roots Prospects was created to provide opportunities for youth football players, especially in Canada. We offer a variety of services, from highlight tapes and SAT help, to camps and combines. Above all, we offer the truth. We are not here to promise every kid a scholarship, however, we are promising the opportunity to be seen and show what you have to offer. Whether that will get you some scholarship interest is up to you, the player.

Firstly, our relationship with FBU is not one of profit. They are their own entity, and a pretty powerful one indeed. This organisation is pretty new to the football world, but has managed to build the best camp money can buy. Their motto is "By Postition. By Professionals. By Invite Only." This slogan holds true south of the border where they have already built a solid reputation. I wouldn't have to even respond to this email if I were in Texas! However, in Canada, they are the new kid in town. They decided to send out invites to everyone in order to showcase what the Camp is all about. They used the same package they send to all the U.S. campers, hence the confusion. In the future, FBU camps are for only the elite, they wish to identify the best players at every age group in order to rank them across the Continent. They also use these rankings to put together the Youth All-American game in San Antonio, Texas. I had the Honour of coaching the grade 7 team, and let me tell you, there were some serious athletes involved. The first Canadian kid to play in the game, was submitted by GRP. Check our forums, and ask him what he thought about it!

Secondly, the coaches involved in mentoring their campers are names like Don Anderson, John Fontes, Bo Orlando, Mike Kruchek, Glen Smith, and Jim McNally among others. These NFL legends will be on the field, coaching campers on the proper technique, attitude, and theories of each position and unit. Each camper will receive 18 hrs of NFL coaching over the three days. This will include on and off field coaching, as well as a breakdown of their strengths and weaknesses. This will all be videotaped for the camper to take home and study long after the camp is done. Each camper will also get "geared up" in FBU clothing, as well as have the chance to hear great motivational, and professional speakers like Vince Papale (see Invincible movie) and Herman Boone (See Remember the Titans). A truly memorable experience. We at GrassRoots do not take money lightly. We understand this camp is expensive, and is not to be taken lightly.

Once again, it is your choice. We are just here to provide you with as many options as possible. Please feel free to call or email me regarding any of our events or FBU. My information is posted on our website. Also, stay tuned for upcoming combines, bus trips, etc by visiting our website. Our next event will be in May! I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck this season and train hard!

Divers, search dogs and an Indiana State Police fixed-wing airplane failed to find the whereabouts of Purdue University student and Boilermaker football player Sean Matti late Sunday and all day Monday.

Our son attended FBU Toronto in April which led him last week  to FBU Top Gun in Virginia - I have only positive comments on the FBU organization. Where else can you get such high level coaching? Extremely well run and professional camps! Amazing Experience for our son Drew Mairleitner.   Check out FBU Top Gun online!

We recommend FBU to only players under 16. After grade 9-10, players that desire to play in the NCAA or CIS should be attending camps/combines/events in the U.S. or CIS events in Canada through the guidance of GRP. I will make this clear, FBU doesn't help you with recruiting. The youth game in Texas is a blast, and so is the All-American combine, however, through experience and first hand knowledge, they will never pick a Canadian for the U.S. Army All-American game. This was the main reason why we parted ways.

Also realize that although it is truly a great camp, for the same price, GRP can take you to TWO camps in the U.S. that has fantastic coaches and gets you in front of the people that have the power to get you a scholarship to a NCAA or CIS school!

Enjoy the camps for what they are, however, if budgets do come into play, let us guide you to receiving the best bang-for-the-buck in exposure and recruiting!

Oh, and don't EVER sign up with the NCSA!!!!!! It's a scam!
