Hello Players!

Some of you may not know what 7 on 7 is all about so here are some answers for you.

7 on 7 is basically a game of flag football between the "skilled" positions. On offense, it is the QB, WR's and RB's vs, the LB's, DB's and S's. It is used to showcase their talents and their abilities. It in no way replaces an actual football game! It is just another way to get scouted during the off season. NCAA rules prohibit actual Universities from attending these types of events (as the ones we enter are not sanctioned by a high school athletic association) however, scouts from Rivals, Scout.com, 24/7, and GRP are all present and can dramatically increase your exposure across the U.S.

These events allow you to be "healthy" and they do not force you to alter your training regimen because of it's physicality. It is simply some bumping, running, catching, etc. You will definitely be tired, but not bruised and banged like after a football game. This means you can train as hard as you want without concern.

We will be putting together a team that will be entered into at least one tournament in the U.S. If we do well at the tourney, we can be invited to the U.S. National Championship in Texas. It is a BIG DEAL. at least 3/4 of the highest rated highschool players in the U.S. played in these types of tournaments.

We have had one tryout in 2011 with some great talent. We still need to fill in the blanks and pick the remainder of the team. Time is of the essence as the tournaments will be starting next month. We want to have the team picked by mid march so we can practice for a minimum of a week before we go to our torunament in May (before the OVFL season begins). Stay tuned! We will post the first selections this weekend!

Congratulations to those who have made the team! We will be in contact with you shortly with details. It was tough to eliminate anyone who tried out as the talent was outstanding.
